My role as senior designer for The Daily Gamecock involved transforming complex data and information into visually engaging infographics that were easy for readers to understand and digest. By utilizing compelling visuals, clear typography, and strategic color palettes, I aimed to present key points and trends in a concise and accessible format. I collaborated with writers and editors, ensuring that the infographics were accurate and aligned with the overall narrative. This experience allowed me to contribute to the newspaper’s mission of informing and educating the community on critical topics affecting the state. My “Climate Change In South Carolina” infographic won first place infographic in the South Carolina Press Association Collegiate Division as well as second place infographic in the Pinnacle College Media Awards.
